Senator Debbie Mayfield gave us a brief overview of the past legislative session and shared her outlook for the upcoming one. A main concern from the audience was property taxes, but we are confident that Florida legislators and our Governor will keep Floridians’ best interests at heart when making decisions.
Melissa Beaudoin gave an excellent presentation on the Federation of Republican Women, highlighting its rich history and organizational structure that makes it strong and enduring. Melissa is also running for Florida Federation of Republican Women President.
At the meeting, members elected 11 Delegates to represent BFRW at the Florida Federation of Republican Women Convention on October 24–26, where the next FFRW leadership and other important matters will be decided.
BFRW was proud to honor Kai Harrelson, co-founder of Turning Point USA at Eastern Florida State College, and Catriona McDonald, our youngest member and BFRW Scholarship recipient. Catriona joined BFRW after our Military Dinner and has been actively volunteering with us for the past year.
